Janice Butts – founder of Joyful Bundts
Our Story
Joyful Bundts was started by me, Janice Butts, and there is an interesting story on how I started baking this cake. You see…I was furloughed on December 22, 2018. My husband, Eric, also works with me and he too was an unpaid essential employee. I was very uncomfortable with NO money coming into the house. So, I began to brainstorm how to raise funds when my girlfriend Marilyn reminded me that she LOVES my 7UP® pound cake!
We discussed pricing and she was my first customer. And so, Joyful Bundts was born! When I delivered the cake and she sent the payment, I grinned from ear to ear. My husband got involved and found the most beautiful red boxes for packaging. He said the cake purchase should look like a present, because who doesn’t love to receive a present? We have officially been in business since January 10, 2019 and we have been going strong ever since.
